Why might we ask for the serial number?
BlackVue products are identified by fourteen-character serial numbers. Serial numbers are typically requested from customers for the following reasons:
- To determine the production date and warranty;
- To identify the distribution channel of the products/seller information of the BlackVue partner;
Where can I find the serial number?
The camera serial number is printed on a sticker attached to the camera box (see image below, for example: D77XS1M1E03078).
The serial number can also be seen on the sticker on the camera box (left image). If you remove the camera holder, you can also check the serial number printed on a sticker attached to the camera itself (right image).
The serial number of the rear camera is almost the same as that of the front camera, especially the eight digits from the right. Other BlackVue products, such as the B-130A, are identified by a fourteen-digit serial number (for example: B13XE3LBE00033).
