This cable supplies the dashcam with power. This ensures that the dashcam switches on while driving. As soon as the car is switched off, the dashcam will also switch off. Parking mode is unfortunately not an option in this case.
In order to use parking mode, you must supply the dashcam with power as soon as your vehicle is switched off. However, you do not want to risk an empty battery. BlackVue has created various power modules for this.
