Each country has its own legislation

You have installed a BlackVue dashcam in your car and are about to go abroad. You want to use the dashcam during the trip, but are you allowed to use your dashcam en route and at your destination? In the vast majority of Europe it is allowed to make recordings with your dashcam! In the table below we show you easily in which countries the use of a dashcam is or is not allowed and what the rules are.

Austria No No It is not allowed to make recordings in public areas. Fines will be given for this.

Belarus Yes Yes, images may be used. Please note that the dashcam must not obstruct or distract the view inside the car.
Belgium Yes Yes. The judge decides whether or not the images are allowed as evidence. It is important to inform filmed persons on the spot of dashcam recordings made. Images are for private use only. It is recommended to remove the images as soon as possible.
